I dropped in and surprised Nanc. I was greeted with hugs and a burst of excitement.
I had the opportunity to visit the Longarm Quilting Academy in Fort Worth Texas. Here is a little tour of the beautiful shop. The Owner and operator of the clean organized store is Nanc Christopherson. I had the pleasure of working with Nanc when we were National Sales Educator’s for Handi Quilter, manufacturers of a large line of quilting machines. When you walk in the front entrance you are greeted not only by staff members but this beautiful color-wall of thread and wide back minky fabric. Nanc carries the largest assortment of wide minky fabrics in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex . This is a brief tour of the academy. Make sure to check it out if you are in the area. Multiple thread lines for machine quilting and general sewing.On the other side of the color-wall is an extensive selection of notions for Longarm Quilting and general sewing.Nanc has carries the complete line of Handi Quilter gadgets, rulers, and accessories. Also pictured is the HQ Sweet Sixteen a sit down quilting machine.Nanc is certified to teach classes in Zentangle. This section of the store focuses on the supplies a student would use to take a class.The Longarm Quilting Academy has a complete showroom that also doubles as a classroom. New machine owners or longtime owners can take classes here. Nanc is an expert at machine quilting and is responsible for teaching a bulk of the classes. She brings in national machine quilting teachers to keep it fresh and inspirational for her students.Full line of Handi Quilter machines.
