My trip to Magnolia Market

I stopped at Magnolia Market while on a short trip to Waco Texas. If you’re a fan of the show Fixer Upper, then you’ve heard of Chip and Joanna Gaines. The husband and wife duo renovate homes, decorate, landscape, and basically make people’s “home sweet home” dreams come true. The couple opened up a market place for home, garden and eateries.  Vignettes full of inspiration are set up around the large warehouse space.  The scent of bakery items, fresh popcorn and coffee float through the air. Here are a few snapshots from my visit.

Already feel the public buzz. Cant find a place to park so I’m walking a few blocks to get my first sight of the silos.

Excitement builds. I love the entrepreneurial spirit.

I visited Magnolia Market with about 30,000 other folks that week. Get out! No for real.

I really wanted to try the cake shop but I could not get near the front of the line. About 100 people were in front of me. I decided it was a good time to fast that morning. Not really, I had no choice. I didn’t have enough time to stand in line.

Move people, let me in! ha ha

Pretty items all over the place.

It was a cold day in Texas, but it was springtime inside the Market.

The crowd grew all morning. It was hard to see all of the pretty things in front of me.

I think they could fill another warehouse the crowd was so exuberant.

I brought T-shirts home for the family. In fact, as I update this post, I have on my “Magnolia Waco Tx Est 2003 ” shirt.

The children’s line. I see a quilt! I’ll take the opportunity right now to offer Joanna the opportunity to quilt with me at my home.

This is probably a wonderful structure to be under when the hot Texas sun is shining down. Unfortunately for me it was a cold overcast day.

Planters . In my area we have a lot of horses, so this is a common sight. In fact I almost put a garden of herbs and flowers outside my kitchen window like this . Instead, I went with black planters.
